The Maritime Personnel, Education and Training (MPET) Sub-committee of the Association was held on 8 April, at the office of Fleet Management Limited. The meeting was preceded by a presentation by the Vocational Training Council (VTC) on the proposal to develop an Aviation and Maritime Education Centre (AMEC). Key issues discussed in the meeting included: Update on the crew change situation, Piracy in the Gulf of Guinea region and the upcoming meetings of the ASA Seafarers' Committee and the HKSARG's Seafarers' Advisory Board.
