One of our new HKSOA Members "Cleanship Hong Kong" is presenting a Webinar from 4 to 5pm on Wednesday 14th October to look at some of the common issues Shipowners will face when retrofitting in 2020 and beyond. These issues include the governing regulations bringing about marine retrofits, market factors influencing planning, COVID restrictions affecting engineering and instigating cost control throughout installation.
From Cleanship’s experience in Ballast Water Management and other Environmental retrofits they will go cover the common process flow from system specification to commissioning, discuss constraints that 2020 will bring to the process and discuss opportunities to increase efficiency and lower costs when installing a system.
Attending this Webinar provides a great opportunity to discuss some of the engineering challenges Cleanship sees as decarbonization and environmental legislation sets in, as well as discussing first-hand experiences from shipyards, with a view to help Shipowners & Managers navigate their retrofit projects effectively through these challenging times.
