INDUSTRY GUIDANCE ON INCREASED SECURITY THREATS FOR VESSELS OPERATING IN THE GULF OF GUINEA

Members are invited to note the guidance provided at Annex A on Increased Security Threats for Vessels Operating in the Gulf of Guinea. The guidance has been developed by the Round Table of Shipping Associations and OCIMF to highlight the increased threat of piracy and armed robbery in the Gulf as the rainy season comes to an end. The Guidance identifies key self-protection measures identified through recent experience and stresses the need for compliance with BMP West Africa.
