Please find attached, at Annex A, the Risk Intelligence Monthly Report for April 2021,

The report’s focus section considers the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) looking at the ASG’s current capabilities and assess the potential threats caused by the group, particularly for merchant ships in the Sulu and Celebes Seas. The report also provides an overview of incidents against merchant ships between 1 and 31 March in West Africa, the Western Indian Ocean, and South East Asia. 

In accordance with the scope of the agreement between ICS and Risk Intelligence, members are requested not to circulate the report further in its entirety. Members may precis the report or use extracts from it to help advise members on key issues or to assist in enquiries. In such cases Risk Intelligence should be acknowledged as the source of the information.
