Bunker Hedging  – Practical Application

Weekend course: 27th November 2021 (Saturday)

Hong Kong / Singapore / China: 9 am – 12pm

Weekdays course: 6th & 7th December 2021

Two (2) hours on each day from 2pm to 4pm.

Course content:

ØBasic statistics, volatility, correlation coefficient, basis risk and value at risk

ØAn overview of refinery configuration, crack spreads and correlation between crude and different products

ØRisk management, hedging basics, pros & cons, hedging as a double edge sword

ØClarity of hedging outcome and its accounting treatment, need for company policy, OTC versus cleared trades

ØDifferent hedging structures (physical and derivatives) including FFP (and its variations), swaps and options

ØPractical examples and exercises

ØClaiming hedging losses and English Law 

Course Fee: 

US$450 per person (20% group discount for 3 or more participants from the same organisation)
