REMOTE ISSUANCE OF SHIP SANITATION CERTIFICATIONS EXTENDED IN BRAZILIAN PORTS

As you are aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted various administrative processes, including the issuance of Ship Sanitation Control Certificates (SSCC) and Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificates (SSCEC) by the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) of Brazil.
In response to these circumstances, ANVISA had previously implemented resolutions (RDC) permitting the remote issuance of SSCC and SSCEC solely through document analysis.
Although the global health emergency caused by the pandemic has been downgraded, we would like to inform you that ANVISA has decided to extend the remote issuance of SSCC and SSCEC until September 21, 2023.
