Please find attached a recently issued circular, MSC.1/Circ.1662 – 27 June 2023, which details how anchor handling winches and associated equipment should be designed, constructed and installed, in accordance with the requirements of a classification society, in accordance with the provisions of SOLAS regulation XI-1/1 or standards acceptable to the Administration which provide an equivalent level of safety.
