Association delegation visit to Beijing, September 2023

Prior to the pandemic, the Association had conducted annual delegation visits to Beijing. The visits had been well received, serving the purposes of information and technical exchange, as well as exploring business opportunities for the shipping community. (Also, during the visits in 2017, 2018 and 2019, our delegates were invited to the National Day celebration banquet held in the People’s Great Hall.)
We are now organising the next Association delegation visit to Beijing, tentatively scheduled for 26 September (Tuesday) to 29 September (Friday). (Delegates are expected to arrive at Beijing by 26 September, for a “working dinner” of the whole delegation on that evening.)
As with the past, the delegation will be led by Association Chairman, Mr Wellington Koo, JP.
We are planning visits to/meetings with both the Mainland authorities and business organizations, though we are still sorting out the arrangements.
Non-Chinese speaking members are welcome to join too. We will arrange English interpretation services, if necessary.
Delegates are expected to arrange their own air tickets. For hotel accommodation, we will arrange group reservation, at approximately HK$6,000 per room for three nights (unless individual delegates have special requests).
Local transportation and meal expenses may be partially covered by some hosts/event sponsors. Separately, the Association will charge a tour fee of HK$1,000 per person to cover the various miscellaneous expenses.
