The ICS Secretariat has received reports from members regarding incidents of damage whilst transiting the new Panama Canal locks. The primary cause being a lack of sufficient fendering.

An ICS delegation will attend a meeting with the Canal authority on 18 January 2024 and are collating information to present on the issue. Members are requested to provide any additional evidence pertinent.
