(Save the date) ASA International Shipping Forum and Gala Dinner, Hong Kong, 28 May 2024,

Circular Ref: A(23)217
As the Chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association has taken, by rotation, the presidency of the Asian Shipowners’ Association (ASA),  we will be hosting the ASA AGM and related events, including the ASA International Shipping Forum and the ASA Gala Dinner, on Monday to Wednesday,  27 May 2024 to 29 May 2024 in Hong Kong (Kerry Hotel).

The main theme of the ASA AGM is “Asia Shipping, Greener Together”.

The (new) Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization, Mr Arsenio Dominguez, has accepted our invitation to the Forum and the Dinner, which have been scheduled respectively for the afternoon and evening of Tuesday, 28 May 2024.

We envisage the Forum will provide a useful platform for exchange of views and sharing of information on those green issues of interest and concern to the industry.

We also envisage the Dinner will be a most happy, memorable gathering of the Asian ship owning community, with hundreds of fellow ASA members and guests from different parts of Asia and other parts of the world joining.

Please do save the date. We will issue a circular to invite the HKSOA membership to take part in the ASA AGM, including the International Shipping Forum and the Gala Dinner.

Meanwhile, if you are initially interested in sponsorships for or table patronage of the Dinner ($18,888 to $88,888), kindly please contact the HKSOA secretariat. We would be ready to reserve tables for you and discuss with you on the sponsorship/patronage packages.

As you may appreciate, as with the HKSOA 65th anniversary gala dinner (which received overwhelming response from the membership), the ASA gala dinner tables would be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis, in case of over-subscription (again).

We would be grateful for your understanding. And we look forward to having your participation in this “mega” maritime event in the region next year.
