On 29 September 2023, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) published an Advisory to Shipping, No. A-43-2023, which is attached, at Annex A, This announces modifications to the rules that govern the Transit Reservation System, beginning with a new booking condition that will be implemented, based on the adjusted capacity of 31 vessels per day. Under this new condition, named Booking Condition 5, a maximum of 30 booking slots will be offered, 8 in the Neopanamax locks and 22 in the Panamax locks.
