Background

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has invited the ICS Secretary General, Mr Guy Platten and the ICS Secretary General Elect, Mr Thomas Kazakos, to visit Egypt on 16 April 2025.

On that day, the SCA will be hosting a delegation from the European Union, consisting of approximately 30 representatives, and has requested ICS’s presence.

Additionally, a private meeting has been arranged between the Admiral and the ICS delegation, which will include a recognition of the ICS leadership transition.
