INVITATION TO ATTEND ‘SHIPPING FUTURE FUELS’ WEBINAR

Circular Ref: A(25)181

The International Chamber of Shipping will be hosting a webinar on ‘Shipping Future Fuels’ on the 9 December at 11:00-12:00 GMT, 12:00-13:00 CET. For all members interested to attend please click here to register.

What is the webinar about?

Maritime infrastructure and shipping are key to moving the fuels that the world consumes, with shipping transporting 36% of the world’s energy trade.

The transportation of the fuels of the future will require significant adaption of the existing maritime infrastructure, and building of new bespoke facilities. Traditionally, governments have focused on supporting the energy transition mainly through low-carbon fuel supply incentives, dismissing the importance of both demand and the related future fuel infrastructure.

This webinar will discuss the key drivers that can trigger private sector and investor support to further the energy transition, including demand incentives, the importance of cross-border projects and international collaboration and standards alignment.

Moderator: Nelson Mojarro, Head of Energy Transition, International Chamber of Shipping

Panel:
Dr Ausilio Bauen, Partner, ERM, UK
Dr Susana Moreira, Executive Director and Co-Chair, H2 Global Foundation, Germany
Dr Stefan Ulreich, Professor of Energy Economics, Biberach University of Applied Sciences, Germany
