Association delegation visit to Dalian 17-20 March 2026
You are cordially invited to join the HKSOA delegation, led by Mr. Yang Xianxiang, Chairman of the China Subcommittee, for a visit to Dalian from 17th to 20th March 2026. This trip aims to strengthen our collaboration with industry stakeholders in Dalian, including the Dalian municipal government, Dalian Maritime University, and business contacts such as local shipyards and ship owners.
Tentative Itinerary:
17th March (Tuesday): Arrival in Dalian, for a welcome dinner by the HKSOA.
18th March (Wednesday):
Morning: Campus tour and exchange session with Dalian Maritime University, together with “Maritime Talent Cultivation Alliance” membership.
Afternoon: Meeting with municipal government official in Dalian, followed by a welcome dinner
19th March (Thursday): Attendance at the Xinde Green Shipping Forum, focusing on sustainable practices and innovations in the shipping industry.
20th March (Friday):
Morning: Visit to Hengli Shipyard in Changxing Island, for viewing advanced green shipbuilding and fuel technologies and facilities.
Return to Hong Kong.
Additional Information:
– Weather Forecast: Historically, Dalian in mid-March experiences average temperatures around 7°C, with daytime highs reaching up to 13°C and nighttime lows dropping to 1°C. Please pack accordingly to accommodate the variable weather conditions.
– Registration: Kindly confirm your participation by 1st February 2026 via return emails.
– Costs: Please arrange your own flights and travel insurance to Dalian. The HKSOA will make a block reservation at a local hotel at approximately RMB2,100 for three nights (at your own expenses). Local transportation and meals will be arranged by HKSOA, with a fee of HK$500 charged to every delegate.
Non Chinese speaking members are welcome. We will provide translation services as appropriate.
