Members will recall ICS is a founding member of the South East Asia (SEA) working group on Trade Facilitation that, alongside industry partners, is aiming to reduce barriers and improve trade facilitation in the area. The first project underway is assisting Indonesia in updating and improving its system for arrival and departure of vessels, known as the PKKA.

ICS will attend a meeting in February with the Director General of Shipping & Transport (DGST), who has requested input from shipowners and operators on the system.
