The Maritime Talent Cultivation Alliance （海運人才培育聯盟), initiated by the Association last November to promote industry-education integration, has received very good response since inception from the industry, with 16 organisations joining as Founding Members. (Very soon, we will publish the first newsletter to report on the various joint events and projects of the Alliance.)

This summer, we are hosting a study tour of the Alliance to Copenhagen in the week of 17 August (5 nights), with the following tentative programme:

– meeting with BIMCO (also a Founding member of the Alliance)
– exchange session with Danish Shipping
– visit to Maritime Anti-Corruption Network
– visits to shipping companies
– exchange visit to Copenhagen Business School
– cultural tour to Kronborg Castle and Maritime Museum of Denmark

We are sure our young people (nominees of the Alliance member institutions), would benefit greatly from the exposure! (The expenses of the students are partially subsidised by the Industry Partners of the Association.)

As the trip could accommodate a few more delegates, Association members would be most welcome to join, on a self-financing basis. If you are initially interested, please send a reply to this circular by 26 July for more details.
