Ms Sandy Chan assumed the position of Managing Director of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association in December 2016.
Sandy has over 30 years of experience in public and private sectors, with expertise in policy analysis, strategic planning, project management, trade negotiation and investment promotion.
Since joining the Association, Sandy has supported the shipping community through multiple approaches and specialist partnerships. She has worked closely with various stakeholders to promote maritime development at all levels - local, national, and international.
Sandy is a member of the Hong Kong Fleet Operations Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Marine Department, a former member of the Logistics Services Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, a former member of the Real Estate Services Training Board of the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, and a former Vice President of the Hong Kong Real Property Federation. She has also been an Economic Advisor to the Tangshan Municipal People’s Government.
Sandy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Master’s Degree in International Management from Macquarie University, in Australia. She is also a Fellow of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, and a council member of the China Overseas Friendship Association.

陳女士有逾30年在公營及私營機構的工作經驗，尤其擅長政策分析、策略規劃、項目管理、經貿談判和招商引資。
加入香港船東會以後，陳女士致力多方位及多元化推動航運業的發展，並且與不同持份者緊密合作，促進本地、國家和國際層面的航運發展。
現時，陳女士擔任香港海事處香港船隊運作諮詢委員會成員，並曾任香港貿易發展局物流服務諮詢委員會成員、香港職業訓練局房地產服務業訓練委員會成員、及香港房地產協會副會長。之前，陳女士也是唐山市人民政府的經濟顧問。
陳女士是香港中文大學社會科學榮譽學士、及澳洲Macquarie University 管理學碩士（國際管理）；目前，也是香港董事學會資深會員、及中華海外聯誼會理事。
