Following closely the IMO MEPC 83 meeting held between 7 to 11 April in London, the Association organised a half-day symposium to give first-hand updates on the MEPC deliberations. Relevant officials of the HKSAR government, industry experts and representatives were keen on sharing their views and insights, anticipating discussions on various green shipping topics, we well as urging the shipping community to keep working together to navigate the many challenges ahead.

This symposium clearly demonstrated the readiness and determination of the Hong Kong maritime sector to go green, living up with the city’s reputation as a leading international maritime centre.

The event, followed with a cocktail reception, was held in the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.

緊接著4月7日至11日在倫敦舉行的IMO MEPC 第83屆會議，協會舉辦了一場半天的研討會，直接聽取關於MEPC審議的最新資訊。相關的香港特區政府官員、航運業專家和代表積極分享了他們的觀點和見解，就各種綠色航運議題展開討論，並敦促航運社群繼續攜手合作，共同應對未來的許多挑戰。

這次研討會充分展現了香港航運業界邁向綠色航運的意願和決心；香港不愧獲譽為國際航運中心。
