Thank you for the initial interests from many of you about the half-day event to be held by the Association on the afternoon of Wednesday, 16 April 2025 (2.30pm to 5pm) in the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.

Briefly, the IMO MEPC meeting, scheduled for 7 April to 11 April, will deliberate on various greenhouse gas emissions issues that may have wide, far-reaching implications for global shipping.

To follow up on these issues, the Association is organising the Symposium, during which government and HKSOA representatives will give updates on the MEPC deliberations, and ship owners, ship managers and experts will share their views and insights on topics of common concern, such as global maritime community response in general, green fuels availability, and Hong Kong readiness for green shipping development.

The Symposium will be followed by a Cocktail Reception (5pm to 6pm).
