Joint Luncheon and Award Presentation Ceremony
Celebrating Success in Hong Kong’s Maritime Industry!
We were honored to host an extraordinary Joint Luncheon and Award Presentation Ceremony on 30 August 2024, alongside the Hong Kong Marine Department. Our guest of honour, Regina Ip, GBM, GBS, JP, graced the occasion with inspiring words that truly resonated with the essence of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA).
In her speech, Mrs. Ip highlighted the pivotal role of HKSOA as a cornerstone of the maritime sector’s success. She commended our efforts in fostering a collaborative environment essential for addressing global trade challenges. Moreover, Mrs. Ip praised the recent ASA events hosted by HKSOA in Hong Kong, emphasizing the significance of our global partnerships and the pride Hong Kong takes in our achievements, stating, “You must be very proud of this global partnership, and Hong Kong is very proud of your success.”
The event was graced by key personalities, including Secretary Lam Sai Hung, GBS, JP, Director of Marine Mr. Wong Sai Fat, and Legislators Hon. Frankie Yick, GBS, JP, Hon. Yim Kong, JP, among others, who added to the vibrancy of the gathering.
During the ceremony, the Hong Kong Marine Department presented a total of 27 awards to deserving ship owners and ship managers in Hong Kong, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the industry. This acknowledgement underscores the dedication and professionalism prevalent in Hong Kong’s maritime community.
With around 200 HKSOA members and guests in attendance, the event was a testament to the unity and determination of our community. We are immensely proud of the strides we are making together and remain committed to steering the maritime industry towards a brighter future.
恭賀香港航運業界朋友！
我們很榮幸與香港海事處爲香港船舶註冊舉辦了聯合午餐會和頒獎典禮。主禮嘉賓行政會議召集人葉劉淑儀議員， 以鼓舞人心的說話為活動助興，與協會產生了共鳴。
葉太在致辭中強調，香港船東會是航運業界成功的基石，為營造應對全球貿易挑戰所必需的協作環境作出了努力。此外，葉太表揚協會最近在香港舉辦的亞洲船東協會的盛事，強調香港與世界接軌的重要性，以及香港社會為協會的成就感到自豪。她說：“你們可以為建立全球夥伴關係而感到驕傲；香港也為你們的成就而感到驕傲。”
林世鴻局長、海事處黃世發處長、立法會議員易志明議員、嚴剛議員等貴賓也出席了此次活動，為聚會增添了活力。
於頒獎禮上，香港海事處共頒發二十七項獎項予香港的船東及船舶管理公司，以表揚他們對航運業的傑出貢獻。這一認可突顯了香港航運業界普遍存在的貢獻和專業精神。
約200名協會會員和嘉賓出席活動，顯示了大家的團結和決心。我們為共同取得的進步感到自豪，並繼續致力於引導航運業界走向更光明的未來。
