An SDC IMO Drafting Group met on 24 January 2024 and agreed to the introduction of an entry-into-effect date of the Guidelines above, proposed in document SDC 10/9/3 , attached below.
The drafting group changed the proposed date in document SDC 10/9/3 from “1 July 2024” to “1 July 2026” and also amended the guidelines to apply to all ships built after 1 January 2010.
