ASA AGM and related technical and social activities, Shanghai, 15 – 17 May 2023

 

This year, this annual event of the ASA will be hosted by the China Shipowners’ Association in Shanghai.

 

The tentative programme is as follows:

 

15 May (Monday) 

 

Welcome dinner

 

16 May (Tuesday) 

 

8:00am     ASA 5S (Standing Committees) meetings (including the Ship Insurance and Liability Committee chaired by the Hong Kong Shipowners Association) 

 

9:45am     ASA AGM

 

12noon     Group photo

               Lunch

 

2:00pm     Exchange dialogues between members

 

6:00pm     Dinner

 

17 May (Wednesday)

 

Visit to the China Maritime Examination Centre or the China Maritime Museum (or other social/networking activities)

 

If you are initially interested in joining the event or have any queries, please contact the secretariat (Sandy Chan, Nittin Handa, Gilbert Feng or Peggy Kan) not later than 31 March. We will advise you on the logistics, including the venues and the hotel accommodation and transport arrangements, once available. 

 

Meanwhile, for those members who would need to get travel visas, please consult our Peggy Kan. We would be most happy to assist.

 

ASA shipping forum, Singapore, 26 April 2023

 


The ASA is hosting a forum, with the main theme “Blue and Safe Shipping”, on 26 April at 9am to 12 noon (followed by lunch) in Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, Singapore. 

 

The speakers will include Mr Teo Eng Dih of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, Mr Kitack Lim of the International Maritime Organisation, Mr Guy Platten of the International Chamber of Shipping, and Mr Keiji Tomoda of the ASA Shipping Policy Committee, among others.
