To facilitate information and professional exchanges with industry stakeholders as well as exploring new business opportunities for our membership in Shanghai, the Association China Sub-committee, led by Chairman Yang Xianxiang (SITC), is organizing a delegation visit to Shanghai on 20th-22nd October 2026. The delegation may have the privilege of attending the opening ceremony of the Pudong Maritime Week and some activities of the North Bund Forum. The delegation will pay visits to Shanghai Municipal Transport Commission, Pudong District government and other industry stakeholders and attend the Joint Hong Kong and Shanghai Shipping Cooperation Conference co-hosted by HKSOA and Shanghai Shipowners Association (A detailed program will be provided in due course).

Non-Chinese speaking members are most welcome to join, as we will arrange English interpretation services if needed.

While delegates are expected to arrange for their own transport between Hong Kong and Shanghai, we will facilitate group reservations at a local hotel. (Details will be provided at a later stage)

While local transportation and meal expenses may be partially covered by some local hosts and event sponsors, the Association will charge a fee of HK$1,000 per person to cover remaining costs and administrative and miscellaneous expenses.
