Members are advised that nominations are now open for the 2026 IMO Honours for Exceptional Bravery at Sea.

Annex A provides the promotional flyer with links to:

The guidelines outlining the criteria for the three categories of honour (enclosed in Circular Letter No.5072, also provided at Annex B);
The nomination form to be filled as appropriate; and
A short video of last year’s IMO Awards Ceremony.

The same flyer is also available on the IMO website. Members are requested to circulate it to their members, as appropriate.

Any nominations for the award should be provided to John Stawpert, Principal Director – Marine at John.Stawpert@ics-shipping.org, no later than 24 March 2026 so the ICS can make a timely report to the IMO.
