China MSA released Guidelines on the preventions of COVID-19 for Seafarers serving on board ships (V5)
China MSA released its revised guidelines on the prevention of COVID-19 for seafarers serving on board ships on 29th January 2021. The purpose of the revision is 'for better epidemic prevention and control of COVID-19 in China and to protect the life safety and health of seafarers and passengers'. Basically, the revised guidelines cover the followings 8 major aspects:
1. The establishment an administrative system for epidemic prevention and control
2. The implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures on ships
3. Strengthened Personal protection of seafarers
4. Emergency response for suspected COVID-19 infected seafarers
5. Suspected cases reporting procedures
6. Epidemic prevention and control will be normalised.
7. Mental health care for seafarers
8. Information inquiry
