CIMAC LUBRICANTS QUESTIONNAIRE: OPERATION ON VLSFO

The International Council on Combustion Engines (CIMAC) Working Group 8 on Marine Lubricants have approached the ICS Secretariat with a request to circulate to shipowners and operators a survey to collect information on specific issues related to the lubrication of engines on ships operating on VLSFO. Scuffing and deposits in engines operating on VLSFO are the two topics forming the focus of this questionnaire.
Responses to the questionnaire will guide CIMAC’s work on developing relevant lubrication guidelines for the marine industry. The answers are fully anonymous, and it is not required that respondents answer all the questions to send the form.
