The shipping industry often talks about our people being the heart of our industry, so it was really insightful to hear from Melina and her leadership philosophy of putting people first.

On the topic of people, huge layoffs in the Silicon Valley technology sector have presented a pool of potential candidates for the shipping industry, but only if we communicate the value of shipping and offer a fulfilling career.
