(IMPORTANT) Business travel restrictions in Hong Kong during the pandemic

Circular Ref: A(21)157

As the pandemic situation in Hong Kong has substantially improved,  the Association is seeking government relaxation of its current business travel restrictions, in the interests of the maritime industry and the community at large.

To pursue the matter, the Association will write to Secretary for Transport and Housing, Mr Frank Chan JP, to express the concern and viewpoints of the Association.

Please find attached a draft of the letter, which is self-explanatory. We intend to issue the letter next week.

We would like to ask Members to offer their support to the Association on this submission.

To show your support, please simply send a reply to this circular by 15 September 2021, advising us on the company name(s) that you would like to put to the submission.

Please note that by giving your consent, you also agree that the Association may make any necessary minor amendments to the content or tone of the draft when finalising the letter, as and where appropriate (because we don’t know if the business travel restrictions will be changed in the next couple of days).

We thank you in anticipation of your support. Should you have any queries, please feel free to contact us.
