Maritime Talent Cultivation Alliance - industry partners invited
On 19 November, many of you witnessed the launch of the “Maritime Talent Cultivation Alliance” initiated by the HKSOA during the maritime week to promote industry – education integration.
Over the past couple of weeks, the positive feedback has been most encouraging.
Indeed, the Association is proud to take the lead in this meaningful project, given our extensive networks and good reputation in the maritime arena.
During the Alliance launch, a total of 16 organisations at local, national and global levels, including many prestigious universities, have joined as Founding members.
Please see the attachments, in English and Chinese, for details.
You can definitely play a role too, as a member of the HKSOA and a staunch supporter of the industry!
May we cordially invite your companies to join the Alliance as Industry Partners for the year 2026? (Of course, a commitment of more than one year is also welcome!)
With a contribution of $20,000, you could enable, for example:
– five to 10 students to join the many Association delegation visits to the Mainland (e.g. Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen) or other parts of the world to meet with regulatory authorities, to visit ship builders, to present research papers, etc., or
– five to 10 students to join the Association’s “CEO mentorship” programme in Hong Kong to widen their exposure.
The above would help cultivate a new generation of maritime talent, equipping them with a global perspective of the business world and practical insights into industry operations.
As a token of appreciation, we will acknowledge all the Industry Partners, whenever and wherever appropriate.
If you are initially interested to be part of this “ambitious” venture, please contact the secretariat. Together, we can, and we will, do more for both the industry and the global community!
