Members will note that Resolution MSC.581(110) – REVISED RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ENTERING ENCLOSED SPACES ABOARD SHIPS, attached in Annex A, was approved by MSC 110. Subsequently, the 34th session of the Assembly (24 November – 3 December) will REVOKE the earlier Resolution A.1050(27).

The document in Annex B, provides a comparison between A.1050(27) and MSC.581(110), which may serve to aid shipping companies when revising their safety management systems to reference MSC.581(110) and the changes therein.
