With regard to an incident on 31 December 2020, in which a limpet mine was discovered attached to the hull of a tanker conducting STS operations in Iraqi Territorial Waters, please find the following:- 

Annex A – provides the Industry Releasable Threat Assessment produced by CMF and EUNAVFOR assessing the incident. 

Annex B – provides updated guidance, developed by the Round Table of Shipping Industry Associations and OCIMF, which should be followed by ships operating in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Gulf of Aden and Red Sea in order to mitigate security threats to ships operating in these sea areas.
