RISK INTELLIGENCE REPORT – OCTOBER 2022 AND NORTHERN BLACK SEA REPORT 29 SEPTEMBER
Circular Ref: A(22)190
Issue Date: 06 Oct 2022
Please find attached, at Annex A, the Risk Intelligence Monthly Report for August 2022 and, at Annex B, the Northern Black Sea Report of 29 September.
The August monthly report’s focus section provides a short look at the increasing impact of different types of activism on shipping operations. Labour disputes in particular have already led to strikes in several major ports around the world and are likely to increase due to spiralling costs of living. Meanwhile, activists are increasingly targeting specific vessels for high-profile protests.
The latest Northern Black Sea Report puts the week's main incidents into a broader context to highlight current threat levels and potential changes for maritime operations, and contains a port status overview and forecast that cover the main concerns going forward, as well as a map over the Maritime Humanitarian Corridor.
