RISK INTELLIGENCE REPORT – SEPTEMBER 2022
Please find attached, at Annex A, the Risk Intelligence Monthly Report for August 2022. This month’s focus section provides a short look at the ongoing negotiations about a new deal related to Iran’s nuclear programme. It is reported that there has been significant progress in recent weeks which could improve the security situation across the Middle East. However, Israel remains opposed to the talks and the deadlock in Yemen’s civil war remains unresolved. The report also provides a brief update on the maritime implications of the war in Ukraine, and an overview of incidents that took place between August 1 – 31 2022, in West Africa, the Western Indian Ocean, and Southeast Asia.
