Please find attached new IMO survey guidelines for the administration of ships, revised to take into account the amendments to the IMO instruments which have entered into force or become effective since the adoption of resolution A.1156(32) as well as the application of remote surveys through experience gained during the COVID-19 pandemic and advanced technology. The new guidelines for administrations were adopted on 6th December 2023 under the Harmonised System of Survey and Certification, (HSSC), under Resolution A.1186(33).
