Please find attached at, Annex A, the March monthly report from Chamber of Shipping of America (CSA).  

The report covers the following:-  

1. Notes the USCG release of COVID-19 crew change information and advises that the USCG email address for questions or assistance on crew change issues is COVID-19crewchange@uscg.mil; 

2. Reports that revised mask wearing requirements onboard vessels have been released by the USCG. This includes clarification on mask wearing in ports but does not address guidance for vaccinated seafarers;

3. Advises that Senators Murkowsi and Sullivan (Alaska) have introduced legislation that would waive the Jones Act cabotage requirements for cruise ship operations between the US West Coast and Alaska in view of the ban on large cruise ship in Canadian waters until February 2022 (note this legislation has not been enacted); and

4. Provides a link to the ongoing ‘This Week in Maritime’ roundtable discussion, which details their monthly schedule.
