Members may recall that we had vide our circular Cir Ref : A(20)78, brought to members’ kind attention the IMO Circular Letter No.4204/04/Add.14, "Recommended framework of protocols for ensuring safe ship crew changes and travel during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic”.
Members are invited to note that the IMO has now published a copy of the latest revision of the IMO Industry recommended framework of protocols for ensuring safe ship crew changes and travel during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. (msc.1/circ.1636/rev.1 22 April 2021.) which is attached at the Annex.
This contains additions made by ICS in relation to vaccination incorporating procedures discussed in the Industry Vaccination Taskforce.
Members would be pleased to note that the Association through its participation in the various expert groups of the ICS, has contributed to the development of the revised protocols.
