The UK Chamber Of Shipping has kindly arranged a webinar on 9th September on the Ballast Water Convention and PSC Concentrated Inspection Campaign which is being supported by the HKSOA and many other organisation’s.

The webinar aims to improve the understanding and awareness of D2 compliance (What can be achieved and challenges) focusing on the Port State Control Concentrated Campaign.

Speakers:

Igor Cavallino, Head of Fleet Performance Compliance – RINA – Introduction, their experience from monitoring PSC, Class, Statutory survey; service for owners/operators, Improvements and suggestions for compliance;
Ranabir Chakravarty, Head of Port State Control Department – Singapore MPA – Discussion on the CIC checklist, experienced learned from PSC and any improvement and suggestions for compliance
Manoj Subramanian, Senior Marine Technical Advisor, ICS (International Chamber of Shipping) – Regulatory points of views and IMO progress, Experience and how to improve compliance;
Mahesh Subramanian – General Manager- AngloEastern – What they have done to improve compliance with D-2 Standard (in particular Challenge Quality Water, Record Books, System Maintenance – crew familiarisation with system and PSC preparation);

Francesco Sandrelli – (Moderator), Policy Director, Environment, UK Chamber of Shipping

Panel discussion after the presentation (for 20 minutes).
