On 12 February 2025, the Hong Kong Shipowners Association received a student delegation from the Shanghai Maritime University at the China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES). Association’s Maritime Personnel, Education and Training (MPET) Sub-committee Chairman Capt. Lothair Lam (also Chairman of Hong Kong Ming Wah Shipping) and Association’s Managing Director Sandy Chan briefed the students on Hong Kong shipping development and the job prospects of various maritime disciplines.
