On 23 Nov 2017, the Association hosted the 60th Anniversary cocktail reception, as the kick-off event for a series of celebrations. The Association was honoured to have invited the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Mrs Carrie Lam, to be the guest of honour. Other VIP guest included Mr C H Tung, the Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Patron of the Association, Ms Qiu Hong, Deputy Minister of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, Mr. Song Ru An, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the HKSAR, Mr Frank Chan, Secretary for Transport and Housing, Mr K S Wong, Secretary for Environment, Mr. Joseph Lai, Permanent Secretary for Transport, and Ms Maisie Cheng, Director of Marine.

2017年11月23日，香港船東會舉行六十周年慶祝酒會，啟動未來一年的慶祝活動。酒會邀請了香港特別行政區行政長官林鄭月娥女士擔任主禮嘉賓，其他出席酒會的貴賓包括：中國人民政治協商會議全國委員會副主席及香港船東會榮譽贊助人董建華先生、中央人民政府駐香港聯絡辦公室副主任仇鴻女士、外交部駐香港特派員公署副 特派員宋如安先生、運輸及房屋局陳帆局長、環境局黃錦星局長，運輸及房屋局常任秘書長黎以德先生及海事處處長鄭美施女士。
