The IMO has invited shipping companies to provide information on a voluntary basis of vessels trapped in the Persian Gulf,
(west of the Strait of Hormuz),
which will be used for the safe evacuation of merchant ships, once it is in place.

In order for the development of a list of such vessels, in accordance with the IMO’s C/ES.36, attached as a link, is an IMO Form for shipping companies to use to provide the relevant information which should be emailed to marsec@imo.org.
