On 27 – 30 September 2026, a HKSOA delegation of 25 representatives, led by Chairman Mr Richard Hext, visited Beijing. The delegation met with the Ministry of Commerce, the MSA of the Ministry of Transport, the China Classification Society, and the Hua Yang Maritime Centre to exchange views on various issues of concern to the maritime community, including geopolitical tensions, global decarbonisation, Sino-US trade talks, and Hong Kong SAR first Five-Year-Plan. The delegation also updated the authorities and industry stakeholders on the good progress of the Maritime Talent Cultivation Alliance, initiated by the HKSOA one year ago. During the Beijing stay, the delegation also paid visits to the COFCO Group, China Minmetals Development, and China Shipbuilding Trading, for business networking purposes.

2026年9月27日至30日，香港船東會主席宋睿之先生率領由25名代表組成的代表團訪問北京。代表團先後會見了商務部、交通運輸部海事局、中國船級社和華洋海事中心，就地緣政治緊張局勢、全球脫碳、中美經貿磋商以及香港特區首個「五年規劃」等多個香港航運業關注的議題交換意見。代表團更向機構和業界持份者匯報了一年前由香港船東會召集的「海運人才培訓聯盟」的良好進展。訪京期間，代表團亦拜訪了中糧集團、五礦發展以及中國船舶工業，進行商務交流與合作洽談。
