The on-line meeting was organized by Shenzhen Maritime Safety Administration. Representatives from HKSOA, Hong Kong Marine Department, Hong Kong Seamen’s Union, Huayang Maritime Centre and Shenzhen Hai Shun Shipping Company attended the meeting and reported on the progress of the implementation of MLC 2006 in China and Hong Kong SAR. The meeting discussed the crew change difficulties experienced by Chinese seafarers worldwide owing to the prevailing travel restrictions due to COVID-19, and the industry appeal for the priority use of vaccine for seafarers. The HKSOA gave an update of maritime education and training developments in Hong Kong.

本次線上會議由深圳海事局主辦，來自香港船東會、香港海事處、香港海員工會、華洋海事中心、深圳海順公司等代表参加了會議，會議就深港兩地履行《2006年海事勞工公約》的相關問題進行交流研討，並就新冠肺炎疫情造成的船員換班困難以及業界關於船員優先使用疫苗的呼籲，以及加強大灣區海員教育和培訓合作的構思等進行了交流和探討。
