Study Tour to Copenhagen (17-23 Aug 2026)

The Maritime Talent Cultivation Alliance (the Alliance), convened by the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA), expanded its footprint outside Asia for the first time, with a 14-member delegation to Copenhagen, Denmark. The itinerary covered visits to the headquarters of the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) and Danish Shipping to exchange views on various issues of concern to the global shipping community.

The delegation also visited Clipper Bulk A/S, Copenhagen Business School and Everllence Copenhagen. They engaged in fruitful discussions and knowledge-sharing centred on education, training, youth engagement and the Alliance’s proposed projects.

Beyond their corporate and academic engagements, the delegation embarked on a cultural excursion to the Maersk Museum, the Maritime Museum of Denmark and Kronborg Castle, famously known as “Hamlet’s Castle”, to experience and appreciate the region’s rich historical heritage firsthand.
