On 27 May, HKSOA invited the Secretary-General of IMO, H.E. Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, and the Secretary-General of ICS, Mr. Guy Platten, to engage and share views on the key topics affecting the maritime industry. The discussion was lively, and members interacted deeply with both delegates. The discussion hovered around two key areas affecting ship owners: Decarbonization and Seafarers. Member posed some tough questions on CII, Global Fuel Standards, Pricing Mechanism, Unilateral legislation, the effect of Geopolitical tensions and wars on seafarers, unfair criminalization and seafarer abandonment.
