The HKSOA is proud to initiate this meaningful project during the maritime week of last November, with altogether 16 organisations at local, national and global levels, including many prestigious universities, taking part as Founding Members.

If you would like to play a role too, you may join as Industry Partners of the Alliance for the year 2026, with a sponsorship sum of HK$20,000.

With the support of the Industry Partners, we are organising a variety of programmes to help cultivate a new generation of maritime talent, equipping them with a global perspective of the business world and practical insights into industry operations.

These include, for instance, next month, some young students and researchers from the Alliance will join the HKSOA delegation visit, led by the China Subcommittee, to Dalian to exchange views with ship owners and shipbuilding industry there.

Very soon, we are also hosting a “CEO mentorship” programme for the shipping youth. (We take this opportunity to thank those members who have already taken the initiative to volunteer to be the mentors. We will issue another circular later on this programme.)
